Dr Varun Ashok Bafna renowned Haematologist and Haemato-oncologist , caters to both Adult as well as paediatric patients with hematological disorders. Being an Alumini of various prestigious institutes like B.J. medical college (Pune) and Narayana Hrudayalaya (Bengaluru), is also trained in Bone marrow and stem cell transplant. He treats patients with hematological (Blood) disorders like Anaemia, low platelets, abnormal WBC, Pancytopenia like Aplastic Anaemia, Thalassemia, Sickle cell anaemia, bleeding disorders like Hemophilia, Von- Villebrand disease, Thrombotic disorders like Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT), CVST, Pulmonary Thromboembolism, etc. BLOOD CANCERS like Leukaemia, Lymphoma, Multiple myeloma, MDS, MPN, Polycythemia Vera, etc and Immunodeficiency disorders. Currently he is performing autologous and allogeneic transplants for various disorders and also efficiently manages post-transplant complications and long term effects of treatment of cancers. He is a member of America society of Hematology (ASH), European Society of Hematogogy (EHA) , Indian Society of Hematology and Blood transfusion (ISHBT), API. He pioneered the convalescent Plasma therapy for Covid-19 patients in Maharashtra. He is investigator and co-investigator for many clinical trials.
